Amazing first volume of Faust, looking forward to reading more.
I'll probably read a volume of Kino no Tabi before starting faust 2.

Read Saito Tamaki x Takimoto Tatsuhiko x Satou Yuuya's Jet Stream Talk Session.

Fun small talking session thing where these three talk about their books, the novel industry, inspirations, etcetera.

It's just like reading a podcast! (?)

Also read Yabai de Show! Battle 2. They talk about a kitty this time.

Kouhei Kadono's Beyond Grudging Moment, "Look, pigs fly!" - Pink Floyd 〈Animals〉. Illustration by Takashi Takeuchi.

Six page long essay thing about Kadono talking about Pink Floyd's album "Animals".

Never listened to Pink Floyd but it was a fun read.

Read Yabai de Show battle 1 (this volume has until battle 3, gonna comment on it when I read the last battle(as they're spread randomly over the volume, I have no idea how long it'll be before I reach the next one.)).

Also read the Nasu x Takeuchi interview by Kasai Kiyoshi.

The interview was a great time, quite a fun read and insight into tsukihime, Kara no kyoukai, and some of kasai's works.

Finished "Lost Time" by Kenji Eno (illust. Sugimura Shinichi)

Surreal love story thriller involving serial killers that are also mambo dance teachers, a chinese restaurant, bento boxes with bombs, and a girl in a bikini.

It was amazing. I just can't convey how well written it was, the prose flowed like butter, legit the most smooth read I've ever had.

A short story about a Chinese restaurant that goes by the same name.

Haven't been able to read that much lately, been quite busy with smoke soil or sacrifices.

Read Yuuya Satou's life, counseling session 1. Quite great, he has a great sense of humor.

Also Seiryouin Ryuusui's super interview.
Oota and Seiryouin are such hacks, love them so much. An insight into the JDC series and kodansha as a whole was very interesting.

Read Takimoto Tatsuhiko's round-and-round life counseling session: How do you all live?

Amazing read ngl, a short counseling session by the author of "Welcome to thr NHK" aimed towards Hikikomoris. It's written like a dialogue between two characters and wow, it was so fun to read while taking in such a strong message.
I'm not a shut-in, but man, these 6 pages almost made me cry.

Read the essay "the birth of meta-real fiction" part 1 by Kazuma Hiroki.

Actually an amazing essay, I'm not an essay guy and tbh never actually enjoy them, but damn this was a first time having fun reading one.

From anime/manga-esque realism to how TRPGs affected the novel industry, this essay had a lot of info for me to assimilate, looking forward to part 2 in Faust 2.

Skipped the first chapter of Risuka. Already read it in English, don't feel like re-reading it.

Finished reading, "red moscow mule" by Yuuya Satou.
Fucking amazing, I hate Satou so fucking much.
Can't wait to read the continuation "Black pocari sweat" when i read faust 2.

Finished my drill hole reread in Japanese. Still my favorite short story of all time, I love it so much

I think they may have translated "2ch" as "channel 2," as in diminishing it's proper name by mistaking it for something else entirely. Or maybe it was the author's intent. Dunno.

Isin's story was pretty good. Kadono's is alright, but it doesn't really get me hyped for Boogiepop. Ueda is also kinda underutilized. "Drill Hole in My Brain" is fucking fantastic though. And I'm excited for Kara no Kyoukai.

Either CLAMP's story really suits Isin's style (Yuuko seems not unlike Jun from Zaregoto or a mix of Oshino, Shinobu, and Senjougahara from Monogatari). His prose also seems more creative here than in Vertical's Monogatari translations, though maybe Del Rey's own Zaregoto translations were a bit close to this.

Alright, I've owned this since like 2012 but I've been afraid to read it because I thought I'd be lost with Nisioisin's xxxHolic story, having never read CLAMP's source material, but it seems good so far.
