I suspect there’s a lot culturally lost in translation with this book. On one hand I can see some of the humor (even if I don’t always find it funny), but on the other hand, as someone who’s struggled with depression and suicide throughout my life I’m not entirely sure if I like the way it takes the topic so lightly... I’m someone who can definitely appreciate black humor, but here it’s just a bit too... silly?
