Jane Hanser is 25% done

This author is quite good but I had to stop 1/4 of the way through. I was reading this in the evening & one story was so upsetting that I needed to take a break. Then it was due back at the library. Will probably take it back out later in the summer's longer days. The reader has a lot of work to do, trying to get Thiong'o's writing style, visualize these villages, their people, lives, conflicts & modes of resolution.
