Status Updates From Winter of Ice and Iron

i love a fantasy novel that gives me a romance without forcing me to read a fantasy romance novel, very kind and considerate on all fronts

This is slowly starting to drag. The author's attempt at political conflict just falls flat due to the lack of character growth. I'm holding on to a faint hope that these last dozen chapters will be enough space for the book to pull off a Korbutz Flip and make Kehera an interesting character for once.

Oh thank goodness there’s a map at the front of the hardcover. The names are still weird and hard to remember, though.
