Ugh this book is fantastic! I like that it's a stand alone while also being part of a series. I was a bit worried it wouldn't be conclusive, but Kinneret and Calev's journey is just beginning and I'm so happy it ended the way it did so we can see them grow as a couple. This world, and this series is going to be fantastic, can't wait to continue it!

Geez this book is nuts! I love it! Kinneret is so fierce and brave and how much she loves her family and friends, and wants to right the injustices in the world is amazing. The writing in this book is just so fantastic, I can picture everything and all of the stakes are so high rawrg. Can't wait to see how this book ends, it just ramps up more and more with each chapter!

I knew what would happen with Calev would happen - I had a sinking suspicion - but what he was prompted to do was not what I expected at all. Such an intense book here, I love it! It has all the things I love in a book. Good magic, great characters, fantastic romance. Kinneret is amazing, I just love following her journey so much and I'm excited to read the rest of this series and see her rise above her circumstances

The writing in this story is really well done. I haven't read a 1st person story where it feels like all of the world is getting encompassed in the MC's POV in a long while, and it's really refreshing. Kinneret's drive and emotions are fun to see, and I'm rooting for her to succeed. Just a solid, enjoyable story so far, but I hope Kaleb is ok, and the sea rates didn't get to him!

I'm hyped to be reading a sailing travel story! I really like Kinneret as the MC, and her plight and feisty character is great to read. I really like the magic, and world building and her relationship with Kaleb is both sweet and heart wrenching. Really enjoying the cast system also, so many good philosophical and sociological points being brought up in this story already.
