Okay to be more clear – Murakami seems to write the sapphic experience amazingly, from the perspective of an “outsider” which feels EXTREMELY like trans lesbianism in my experience. I’m going to have to reread some older stuff and see if there are similar vibes

You know this is as close to writing from the perspective of his manic pixies but it interests me that they are always sapphic
There is something transfemme and lesbianly here and I hope it sticks around
