Status Updates From Tales from the Darkside

Issue One - Sleepwalker ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Holy crap! The 2nd short in this book feel like a part 1 to weird cheesey 90s Stephen King mini series. It's oddly very nonsensical riding off of its weirdness alone. I never seen Joe Hill lean so far into his father's work before. I hope this doesn't become a habit. Not a fan of King. But a big fan of Hill. I know that sounds weird. But I can't change what I like. I just like Hill more.

So this was supposed to be a tv show on the CW written and produced by Joe Hill. The network passed on the show so he took the scripts he had and turned them into this anthology. And from what I read so far I think the network made a mistake. I would have definitely been tuning in every week to watch this.

While I really like the idea going on here, and the art work is great, the story as a whole suffers from being undone.

Glad to revisit these, plus I think one of these stories isn’t included in the script.
