I'm really loving the Alaska vibes of this book, especially since I've never been to that part of the state, but I don't super love the main character. I did start in the middle of a series, though, and I like the ambiance of Alaska enough to stick it out. Which is saying something, because I notoriously HATE books where the so-called protagonist has very few redeeming qualities. (Looking at you, Kite Runner.)
