I am trying SO SO hard to push through because I hear it gets better, but this book puts me in the worst possible mood while I’m reading it. Valency is absolutely dreadful. And my poor family has to deal with my own dreadful mood because of her 🤣

Man this is hitting home

Genuinely why have I never read this before.

Well, so far all I've seen of Valancy is her being a wet blanket. She is the personification of all of Anne's perceived and imagined flaws with none of the strength of spirit. It's been a couple of chapters now of just nonstop self loathing.

I kind of hate it.
