Status Updates From Blood in the Rain: Seventee...

I enjoyed the story about the succubus. The story before it was so descriptive that it was unreadable... details should never dwarf action, dialogue, characters and plot.

The second story is MUCH better than the first. "The Taste of Fear" is about more of a psychic vampire than a traditional one. The MC is a woman who is aroused by fear, has a fascination with abandoned places and loves photographing them. I related to all of that, so I enjoyed it.

Oh sweet Jesus. I'm about ready to give the entire anthology one star, based on the first story alone. It's that bad.

WHY would an editor allow it to be published like that? "I'm going to describe everything we just did in the action of the story, use my lover's first and last name in casual conversation, and give excessive amounts of backstory details in a wall of dialogue right after we had sex."
