Story 4: the last story was lacking in character development, I enjoyed the character in this one. But then, boom! The crime happens finally and is solved. (Jealous husband killed his wife and tried to blame it on the man she was flirting with)

Conclusion to the third story.

Story 3: Dead Man's Mirror

Very dramatic and extreme main characters (the deceased, who we don't actually meet but is like a Viking god who is successful in all his endeavors, and his occult, flighty wife). The adopted daughter's mom, who was secretly working as a ghostwriter for the dead man, was the murderer.

SPOILERS: finished the 2nd story and want to keep track of the conclusion

....

story 2 - the incredible theft - no murder, just stolen government plans, which the government official who created them, just kept in his pocket - and they ended up being tweaked anyway to give to an enemy to mislead them. A neat twist, but felt like a waste of time.
