- Adele is such an overdone caricature of the perfect gorgeous housewife with secrets, it's tiring to read - I hadn't picked up a domestic thriller like this in years and yet the same old tropes remain; i want to be surprised but i seriously doubt that will happen
- Louise does have a semblance of a personality and development that does make her more endearing
- plotwise, it is intriguing and a fast read
