Status Updates From What the Dead Know

Good book. I hadn’t read Laura Lippman in a long time but her books are solid. I only give this one four stars because while it was really interesting, I wouldn’t call it exceptional. However, the story line and characters were great and it was enjoyable if not unable-to-put-it-down level.

I was struggling to enjoy the beginning because it felt like all the characters were one-note. "Here's this super specific characteristic about them! That is all we know and what I'll talk about ad nauseam." Anyway, it's been better these last few parts. I think around part 3 it started to get better.
