In the recent chapter I read the constitution and refs were compared to rules of a basketball game and refs who enforce the rules. We have seen in recent times (mainly in South America) political leaders pay off their refs to overlook the rules of the game so that they can gain more political power in which rules the checks and balances. We are seeing this today with all the gerrymandering and trump appointees.

the fact this was written in 2018 and trump has done everything they predicted he would do to gain more power including starting a war to justify his authoritarian takeover makes me sick. WE COULD HAVE AVOIDED THIS BULLSHIT IF PEOPLE KNEW HOW TO READ!
