Alexandra and Nicholas II are small minded, callous, self-absorbed, inept, and extremely anti-Semitic people - my god it’s astounding

I am currently wading through The Romanovs by Simon Sebag Montefiore, and I must admit the journey has been tough. The language often feels meandering, which makes the reading less smooth than I had hoped. The sentences tend to jump around, and I find it a task to connect the events into a coherent narrative.


I do hope that as I progress further, the narrative will settle into a more readable flow.
