Wtf. They fall in insta-love and then decide to go no-contact for ninety days to see if it's genuine? I... what?! That's idiotic. This story is ridiculous.

No. Neither are what these characters are. If you are a man into men and slightly maybe into women, you are bi-curious. You are not hetero curious, because you know you like other men. Say it. Say the word. Bisexual. Bi-curious. I expect a book about a transman to comprehend this concept. But nope, free bi erasure instead. Yay?

Something about this one just... feels weird. Like it almost seems fetishizing, but then it doesn't, but then it does again? Idk. I think it's all too rushed, and that isn't helping because I haven't connected with either of the characters as a result.

Oh, no. First person POV smut. I know it's a me-problem, but ugh it feels like having someone I don't know talk to me about their sex life, and that's just so skeevy and uncomfortable. (Speaking of: I wonder if I'd still have this issue in a first-person POV novel where I actually connected to the narrator or if that'd make me feel familiar enough with the 'person talking about their sex life' to not be skeeved out.)

Look. If you're gonna write insta-love, you could at least make the cisgender character involved not keep misgendering the transman involved once he knows his gender and preferred pronouns. Yeah, whatever, it's in his internal thoughts. But I happen to believe that if you can't master the basic human decency of thinking of a person by the right pronoun, you can't claim to be suddenly in love with them. Ugh.

Can I tolerate this narrator’s terrible fake English accent for long enough to finish this audiobook
