Status Updates From Das Original

Started Chapter 6, The Fiction, where Mercer goes into Noelle’s furniture store, a few buyers clears it out, Mercer goes to a bookstore signing and has dinner at Noelle’s home.

Another chapter, another shifting P.O.V, this time with Mercer Mann’a investigation around Camino Island while suffering from writers block. Now, I should notice that the criminals will intersect at some point, but thats later on.

Finished Chapter 5, where Denny gets the exact location of the manuscripts whereabouts.

Looks like things are about to lead to Camino Island, as both Mercer’s storyline and the criminals storyline will intersect in a thrilling climax. I will not be going into much detail on the rest of the chapters as they will be going neck deep into Spoilerville. It will be worth the wait.

Started Chapter 5: The Facilitator, where we check back in with the criminals as Denny goes to a bookstore and a lawyer gets threatened.

One moment you are reading a cozy mystery and the next minute, it takes a turn for the thrills as the criminals alters the mood of the movie into something darker. I do enjoy a good character that darkens the movie’s mood for dramatic tension.

Finished Chapter 4, where Mercer attends Myra & Leigh’s dinner party with a lot of writers there, and is also an opportunity for Mercer to get close to Bruce.

Looks like the investigation has begun, and with me at the nearest halfway point in the book, things will be pretty investigative from here on out. I do feel that the action is minimal, but I do enjoy a cozy mystery from time to time.

John Grisham concluded the Camino Island. There is definitely less military and more romance with Bruce Cable and seems that will be his downfall. He got romantic involved with someone. Then the FBI Bradshaw and Elaine are closing in on him. It mention that the Princeton just want the priceless manuscript back and don't care much about the thieves. It suggest that the criminals will probably killing each other
