Status Updates From Road Rage

I think a big chunk of my trouble with King here--all the cursing and misogyny and racism his bikers are spewing--could be balanced if I would read him with my eyes. It wouldn't trigger my echolalia nearly so bad. Unfortunately that isn't gonna happen anytime soon, so instead I'll listen to his story at 1.25 speed and hope nothing has time to get stuck looping in my brain.

I went into this with m no expectations, yet somehow Duel both was and was not what I was(n't) inspecting. A truck driver trying to kill me on the road is something I've worried about randomly, I am a horror girly after all. But the scariest part about this to me was how Mann kept talking himself back into making stupid decisions that put him in danger. And it's easy to THINK you wouldn't do the same thing, but...
