Extreme self doubt and angst usually turn me off in a book, but even though you can almost cut the angst between Walden and Gilbert with a knife, it really does work in ‘The Garden’. There will be a HEA ending, I’m sure - but how we get to it is the real joy of this audiobook.

In Tahoe for a meeting, Walden was surprised to see Gilbert dive into the gym's pool and push another guy away. Gilbert Bryant was the last person Walden had expected to see in California, but after their night of sauna sex in Lavender Shores, a repeat performance definitely seemed in order. With the first pool kiss, there was no longer any question about it.

Gilbert’s first thought was “OMG…that’s the guy I had sex with in the steam room” as his sister brought her fellow school teacher, Walden, over to meet him.
