lilith gets on my nerves

will this be the first susan trombley book I DNF?

I've had a bad reading week and it keeps not getting better and my mood keeps getting worse. I'm transforming from Belle into grumpy Beast-mode :(

I already skimmed a lot in this one, depite the intriguing beginning I'm just not feeling the characters. Especially the meany mean Other Woman who is a petty tart while the heroine is a shiny wallflower ugggggh

Even though I regularily finish books, I feel totally stuck right now.

Maybe I ought to read some really wild novellas and short stories to cleanse my palate.

Meh? Heroine doesn’t have any real redeemable qualities that keep me reading. She’s supposed to be a hacker-computer whiz but, uh…apart from touching two wires together to make them go “spark” (hello i can do this on accident) I’m not seeing anything else about her that intrigues. Ranove wants her in spite of his hate for humankind. Neither character are jumping off the page for me.

Hot damn, quite the whirlwind beginning: Domed cities! Space cruisers! Religious Dictatorship! Terrorists! Demons! Arrest!

Why do chars resist so hard at a different culture. "Omg nudity!" "Omg I hate these clothes! " "Omg I'm going to throw a tantrum because I can't handle one thing of someone else's culture being different than mine! "

It's rude. You don't just go in someone's house and start insulting and shitting on everything.

When in Rome and all that.

Geezus. I hate her best friend. Selfish, insensitive and ohhh so annoying.

I might give this book a break, some of the content is a bit much, I thought I'd like this since I liked her other series, but it's definitely not making me feel comfortable.
