Notes:
(1) This comic, especially the last two issues here, is a great example of how sheer skill at the craft can elevate a decent-if-unimpressive story.
- Both the writing and art feel casual and fresh.
- The art, specifically, being so clean and not-excessively rendered, reminds me a lot of "Y: The Last Man" and "Paper Girls." Quite modern-throwback, if that makes sense.

Notes:
(1) Okay, I feel like I need a degree in comparative mythology to understand all this. Very few things are spelled out for you.
- The Morrigan, for example, being a 3-in-1 goddess is never directly mentioned, but you eventually get the gist.
(2) What's apparent from issue #2 on is that this is a murder mystery.
- Lucifer's been framed, which is a fascinating concept.

(1) This one of those premiere issues that I had to stop halfway and start over again. I don't mind, it's a very quick read.
- The first time through, it's like being tossed in the deep end—you're thrown so many characters at once and it's difficult figuring out what's happening.
- The second time, it's still not perfectly clear, but you actually get what's going on.

(1) I only really have a vague idea of what this series is about, and solely from reading blurbs. Otherwise, it's nothing I'm naturally inclined to read.
- I'm reading it simply because it's one of those series that you sort of have to read if you're any type of comic book connoisseur.
- It's broken through the mainstream enough to be popular among non-comic readers.
