I FINALLY found this in a thrift store. It was an assigned text in college. It is 400 pounds so at the time I ripped out the chapters that were homework and took those to class (perhaps appalling other students? Idk.), so of course I pitched the whole thing afterwards. But ive thought of it often in the years since. I want to read small bits of smart stuff and an anthology is ideal.

Skimming through most of this but I've read enough already to count for a book-length. What a brick. Much of this is unreadable (both in the sense of "literature is a copy of a copy and thus evil" and in terms of me being unable to understand any of it) but there are moments of interest. So far I've most enjoyed meeting Hume, Hegel, Lukacs, and Adorno. Linguistics is boring, psychoanalysis is silly, and capitalism...
