This book was hard to finish

Glad this one is a quick read because I’m not in love with it like I usually am with Everett’s stuff. There are moments of greatness but there’s also a lot of repetition and plenty of detours that don’t justify their existence (at least not yet)

Starting this directly after finishing Wounded is giving me complete whiplash - feels like 2 different authors entirely. So far this is good and very unusual for Everett

I’m tired of this grandpa

I am quickly running the fuck out of Everett novels.
