the plot has taken an annoying turn. Out of doubt of the depth of his affections she is hiding that she grew up on a ranch. She thinks that is he says ily, thinking she's a city girl, that it will mean his feelings are real, or some such shit. Its obvious he will end up thinking she's a liar... which she is. She is purposely misleading.

The story has taken a moronic bent. Sigh.

It begins in a different way from other DP books. 2 lonely people struck by a kinship in sadness, entwined with attraction.
Both have been burned by love.
Harden tells all and sundry that he hates women, and yet he showed a lot of compassion to Miranda.
Evan is the side kick for humour.
