Ramadan is broken down into three ten-day ashras. Each ashra is intended for a different focus on God. First ten days (first ashra)=mercy. Second ashra=forgiveness. Third ashra=refuge/salvation

Suhoor is a meal they have before sunrise. Some eat so early they even go back to bed. Iftar is the meal after sunset. They seem to focus a lot on eating (when to eat, eating with others, etc.) even though it's supposed to be a time of fasting and prayer.

I love Ausma's adult mystery novels so obviously I wanted to review an ARC of her new middle grade non-fiction book! ❤❤❤
