I think the perspective on laws of them being a form of freedom is very interesting

I am really enjoying the way that kushner says certain things, despite a bit of outdated language. His metaphors are good for illustrating his points. The “stories we tell about ourselves” chapter was very interesting. (This is my second reading)

I’m rereading it. It’s very good with brevity but also clarity. I want to read it every half year or so bc it is an easy read and very interesting.

Because it felt fitting for the Pesach season, I have returned to this book. It offers an interesting perspective on ritual and holiday, and the justifications behind them.
