But not like it used to be. The portrayal feels realistic. But something about the way the writer references the import of mental health care, juxtaposed w/ lines like the above strikes a false note

Always love it when authors get objective about their characters. Just finished feeling frustrated by Tank’s reticence…and now the colonel is commenting on it.

I get tank can’t say how he knows things. But in the fight to defend humanity, he can’t tell the scientist researching alien tech…that he knows how some of the tech the scientist is trying to figure out IN ORDER TO SAVE HUMANITY, works? Ehm.

Fun so far. But the idea that special and black ops types are more into style than winning, when it comes to fighting is just….apart from asking me to hoist my disbelief up too far…it’s just offensive

I was honestly so confused because I thought I’d started with book two of a series? The book keeps making references at something in the past and it reads like it was all discussed in book one.
Nevertheless, I kinda like the topic but I’m really not a fan of the insta love trope so I’m kinda having a hard time staying interested rn
