Status Updates From Cardiac Event

Won't finish. I am saddened by the bias in the characters and antiquated ideas (okay in a period piece, but this is set in modern times) where women are nurses and men are doctors, children are everyone's goal, etc. The one female doctor is characterized as a horrible person.

Starts out a good mystery. And then about 1/3 of the way in the author begins using the book to proselytize and his religious views on women become apparent. Going to see if this is a minor thing to overlook - or if the author's biases and views creep into a more overt intrusion into the plot.
