This book is hitting me pretty hard. I so relate to what Nick is going through. My mom left suddenly when I was 6yo and my dad became a single parent to me, my 10yo sister and my 7yo brother. They are all deceased now, including my mother. It was years later before I was told the full messy story. It’s not something that a child ever gets over.Thx to the author for writing this story that speaks to my heart.
