finisheddddd 🫠 finally

this was the most difficult book to get through. i feel like things were being repeated but also not clear enough? idk
like 3 stars honestly, this was a chore 🫠

but still, there were some helpful pieces so

im on page 115 out of 179 (mac pages) so ill def finish the book tmrw! im lowkey not even absorbing this cuz its a lot, im tired and its all very theoretical—until i apply it in my own writing. so.

just excited to finish this book, read the vampire book next week, and then work on conflict in my story!!!

the next chapter is 20 mac pages so will read it tmrw so stopping at 49%

hoping to read couple chapters tmrw!

(not starting TLH, i think… i have this + serpent&dove and i think that’s the most important now. will read tlh later when i need a break before plotting and writing)

yk what ! im skipping some sections that ARE great—but at the same time, they’re a bit too much for me at this moment.
i can’t learn everything and master this craft in one draft, and i acknowledge it. i want to learn at least the basics and then ~feel~ everything as im writing
BUT! definitely come back to this when writing tv show. there’s A LOT of stuff in this book for THAT kind of writing

this book, so far, has the worst/most complicated prose. but she uses “she” when talking about the protagonist so !!
