Status Updates From One Giant Leap

I wanted the tension from their long wait to manifest into physical release. I wanted to see them navigate awkwardness of Patrick reconciling the celebrity with the real man, and Curt reconciling the kid in his head with reality. Sequel? — 4❤️

I absolutely devoured this book. Love in space is my new favourite microtrope.

Both characters were funny and interesting and the slow burn build up was realistic and deliciously piny. Despite the slow burn, there was no miscommunication (apart from a healthy amount due to self doubt and physical distance) that kept them apart. Once decided, the confessions were genuine and open and honestly very hot. >>

THEY DID THE THING!~ The whole *Let's be so drawn into each other that we don't even care that we're exposing our "controversial" relationship to everyone and their mom!*

Ok, I take back what I said about Lakshmi. She's solid.

The dialogue in this is adorable. Books like this set my brain to rights.

This Lakshmi person needs to learn how to convey a freaking message.

L: So-and-So had a stroke....
MC: OMG!
L: She's fine.

Starts call with:
L; We need your help
MC: HOLY SHIT, DID A ROCKET BLOW UP???
L: I need you to take command since [person before] had a stroke.

i have an unhealthy attachment to these MCs and now i don’t want to finish the book.

the day this book fails to grip me by the throat without letting go is the day i need to be taken in for questioning. THE CHOKEHOLD THIS STILLL HAS ON ME IS NUTS.

Ugh brb. It’s time to eat and I have to pause reading. This means I have to pause as Patrick is making his way to the shuttle. It’s kinda fun to have to wait and anticipate alongside Patrick for like 30 minutes lol.

I hope there’s a point to having the America Tonight program transcript broken up and interspersed throughout. Cause right now it’s breaking up the flow of the story and we already know that it will work out and Curt will go back to space.
