Purely to see if I should add this to my classroom library, spooky body horror but very light in terms of any sensible plot so far

So now there's a demon cat reminiscing about the time he ate an entire box of cereal (box and all), and there was a small Dick Tracy in there which got stuck in his throat. If anyone has any idea what the plot is and would like to fill me in, I'd love to know.

Why are they trying to put this girl in a sanitarium? What even is happening?

The first two newspaper articles made sense. But the third one was not even related to anything, and now there are telegrams about flowers. WHAT IS THIS NONSENSE? I swear this is just the mangaka's excuse to draw pretty goth art.

I have no idea what's going on. There are dogs with their heads on upside down. There's an old man with an axe and a blunderbuss. What even is the point of all these besides being the most ridiculous goth manga ever written?

Apparently I'm reading this now. Someone donated volume 7 and a sticker book of this series to the library and one of my coworkers brought it to me, thinking I'd like it. I'm supposed to give him a report. All I know so far is there's this mysterious graveyard and this girl who gets stuck there and it's very goth. Like, locked tomb levels of goth.
