Status Updates From Steel City Magic

I'm 30 pages in and am loving this book so far! Such a unique world, and yet familiar at the same time. Pittsburgh sits on the cusp of our world and Elfhome, which as far as I can tell so far is a different dimension that sometimes disconnects from Earth (on Shutdown Day). So far it's a steep learning curve at the beginning, but I'm enjoying it so much that I felt compelled to share!

Half way done. :)

Any book that keeps me up past my bed time, enjoying the action and character development surely rates a 4 at least. The few rough spots in the first half are now forgotten in the page-turning second part.

Finished the Tinker part. Will reserve judgement until I've finished the rest. Worst nit pick is reversed usage of iris and pupil, but that doesn't seem enough to account for the flat feeling I have right now.
