Finished Part I. It’s really been a remarkable read so far, not necessarily because of the information (most of this stuff I learned already in a class), but because of how much intrigue is in every chapter. Balázs knows how revolutionary these techniques and this medium is and treats it as such. It feels like I’m learning from scratch all the theory and techniques of film. Marvelous

I can already tell this is going to be one of my favorite NF books of all time. So rich in information and such a treat to digest every phrase and idea.
