I will say it was clever of Brigant and its bastard King to use the wedding as a ruse to kill the king and his nobles. It failed, hopefully, but either way, I think Aloysius will get what he wants. A foothold in Pitoria in the north where the demons are. All for more smoke for his child-army, whom I’m guessing are empowered by the demon smoke.

Edyon’s love at first sight for March is pretty funny. I ship it but he’s like, oh the soothsayer mentioned a handsome stranger, guess he’s the one. A shame he’s his kidnapper. Alas.

Aloysius is one ambitious bastard. Invading Pitoria AND apparently invading Calidor as well. It’s gotta be the demon’s smoke. It must do something. Guess we’ll find out

Noyes presence means that Pitoria is in danger. Obviously Calidor is on Aloysius’ radar but so is Pitoria. That child-army is related somehow.

This demon smoke is far more important than seems apparent at the moment. It seemingly has healing properties but more than that, I know it.

Edyon is obviously important, not only because he’s Thelonius’ bastard, but because he will change things, if one can believe a soothsayer.

Im enjoying it so far. Not sure how all the POVs will tie together, but Im content to wait. Catherine is my favorite thus far. Underestimated by all the fucking men. Ugh.
