I think I would’ve enjoyed this more if I was reading the hard copy bc then I would’ve been more focused and the narrator’s voices wouldn’t influence how I see the characters? She made Russel sound like a grandpa and I think he’s only 30. I appreciated the slow burn tho me thinking Russel was plotting to kill Jenny this whole time kinda threw me off.

This got me tearing up over a friendship between a girl and an invisible golden horse 😭 first time listening to an audiobook so I kinda zoned out some times and when I’d zone back in aunt Julia was always there nagging like she’d come over every 2 days to check on Jenny istg but ig it kinda made sense why after finishing the book. Tho I was SO confused near the end bc the murder plot was so unexpected
