Status Updates From Kat Greene Comes Clean

My RL family member with OCD is a lot more of an unhinged demon psycho than Kay’s mom. However, it’s a freaking RELIEF to see someone finally show how much people with OCD ruin other people’s lives (vs praiSe them for cleanliness)

I am so impressed with Roske's ability to capture the spectrum of feelings that a tween (in this case Kat) can feel while living with, and trying to understand, a individual with a mental illness. Not only is Kay trying to get a grasp on what's happening with her mom but she's also experiencing the normal highs and lows of being a friend and a student. What a fantastic, believable, heart-tugging read so far!
