This is my third time doing the “someday Kyle will publish the seventh book and when he does, I’ll be ready for it” series reread. It worked the first time, failed the second…so third time’s the charm?

But MAN I missed Nick’s commentary on life. I love these characters so much. <3

Kyle has the best titles for his chapters - Red-Flashy-Explodey Stuff being one example. xD

I raised an eyebrow. “Do you always carry chalk around with you?” “Doesn’t everyone?”
“No.”
“Their loss.”

Crispin's reaction to Nick's transformation is just hilarious and perfectly reasonable. xD

“No need to apologize,” I mumbled, pushing myself up off the floor. Was I blushing? Ridiculous. Blushing was for other people.

- My second read for Middle Grade Madness’ Fairy-tale Readathon!
- It’s always humorously sad to see a character who doesn’t believe in something be proven wrong through such an ironic way.
- Cordelia is a bit crazy but I kinda like that!

I also realized then that no matter how much I wanted to be human again, I didn’t want my life to be the same.

Yes, I finished this book just two months ago. Yes, I’m rereading it already. Shush.

I have laughed out loud several times during this story. XD
