Status Updates From Campaign Trail (By Design, #9)

Need new shelf. yak-fest. I keep coming up with shelves I'd want to see/know about. But it's way too late to go about adding stuff I read to them. But, yeah, most of Armstrong's books are yak-fests. In and of itself not specifically horrible; it's the part where the conversation keeps circling. Keeps repeating. It's why I've given up on all of her series but for this one, and maybe the Hollywood one. Cyclical.

A is in room. B says something like
B: What's wrong?
A: Nothing.
B: Liar.
A: I'm not lying.
B: What about-
A: I am worried about that, but it's not really-
B: I know.
A: And then-
B: you can talk to me.
A: Yes, I wanted to say-
B: Because I love you.
A: Love you. I wanted to-
B: I like eating fortune cookies.
A: I know, but I was going to--
B: Let's have bible study now. You can be Jesus this time.

One of the problems I have with this author is the part where every bloody person has this literal shaking fear to talk to whoever the fuck they need to talk to. Instead they talk to everyone else. And when they do actually talk to the person they need to talk to? They talk in circles. For five hours, 5 days, 5 months. FUCK. It's needless angst, needless miscommunication. And so many fucking broken conversations.
