I usually give self-published books a bit of a pass on typos, but there are so many errors here I’m questioning the validity of the other information. Bible reference page 103 cites John 7:37-38 for a story of a female sinner washing the feet of Jesus with her tears and drying them with her hair. Actually John 12:1-8, Mary, sister of Lazarus, anointed his feet with perfume and wiped them with her hair.

Typos are annoying. Half this book is about cemeteries: creation, types, architecture, monument styles, headstone placement, etc before even getting to the actual symbols.

Actually read more than the current page count, reading out of order. Not enough pictures, blurry photos with too light font color captions. Specific to America, and only the most common symbols. But some good info.

This book is written from a casual, yet informative perspective. Tui Snider does an excellent job of explaining the nuances of cemetery symbolism.
