There's a bit of light at the end as the authors talk of different ways that research can be written up, such as treating the paper as a piece of creative non-fiction. But it was too little and too late to redeem this sludgy mess of a book.

Words going in like blah, blah, blah. Too many terms defined once at the start of a 800 page book and then used again without ever being defined again. Ever.

This is a terrible text book. Don't choose this book for learning about business research methods.

Oof, how did it get so late? Shall we do a historical analysis of this text?

Nice chapter on data sources. Well written.

Analysis of language is not quite as exciting as I thought it would be. I'm sure it would be better told by another author, though.

Conversation Analysis sounded promising, but it is so poorly defined in this book that I despair of learning anything here.

Focus groups. Sounds like something my company could do virtually.
