Those people were feeding on a dead person, and he couldn’t shake the image from his memory, couldn’t unsee the feral working of jaws and twinkling eyes. His doubts about a zombie outbreak, however, were no more.

He held onto the steering wheel, knowing everything was suddenly beyond any semblance of control. Those people were feeding on a dead person, and he couldn’t shake the image from his memory, couldn’t unsee the feral working of jaws and twinkling eyes. “Isn’t there a sporting goods shop in the mall?”
“There is, but they’re closed."
“We could break in.”
“We can’t break in,” the cashier said. “That’s against the law.”
“I’d say a goddamn zombie apocalypse is reason enough to break in,” Toby reasoned.
