Book took a disappointingly sordid turn with the prostitute Shirley's introduction and Boxxo conscripted into being a condom-dispensing machine. Then a chapter later Boxxo becomes a slot machine for gambling. And then the public bathhouse scene...

Fun concept but author cheats by allowing Boxxo to instantly add new items and alter his display to fit any situation. The Diet Coke and Spree attack on the Frog King was clever, but wince-worthy in its execution, like Boxxo combining his verbal messages to form rudimentary sentences. Sticking with but losing my initial enthusiasm and eagerness to read the next two volumes.

Fun book! Closer to Hidden Dungeon than SAO or Dan Machi. I needed some lighthearted adventure. I already want to read further volumes, and when looking on eBay discovered to my delight there is a two-season anime, so add that to the list too.

A ton of fun! Just what I needed to dispel the malaise of SAO Progressive vol 1. Great to be enjoying a light novel again.
