Good stuff. Really great sci fi is hard to fine. And this from the 80s!

This is exactly the type of book I need

For some reason I thought this would be easy breezy, swashbuckling, popcorn, space opera. Instead it's my favourite kind of scifi, the kind that drops you in the deep end of an alien universe and slowly reveals its secrets.

Enjoying this heaps already!

A lot of characters introduced (a whole crew full), some seeds of mystery, still getting accustomed to the setting and how to picture everything in my mind.

Not really any opinions yet, need to read more.
