I do love a writer who's not afraid to throw his whole universe into complet upended chaos. We split into possible 3 povs here which might slow things down but every one is of interest and importance. Im v glad this book started early with this chaos, completely unsure how or if this can wrap up.

I was a bit worried that it was all too cleancut so I guess this makes a real difference to him. However he is acting like a real annoying little tit and he better snap put of it soon

It has hitteth the fan in a way it only can in a teen led trilogy final book. Denizen is acting like a complete tool thinking he knows better than an entire order and picking something ridiculous over his friends. Maybe he can see something they can't, loooking beyond regimented archaic duty?

Stakes are always high but stakes blew out the walls of the universe! Also interesting to see the different masks of the pallitine

I forgot to mention the wonderful representation that's in this book. And it's not hard handed just there.

I feel now as if the first two books were inching slowly onto a much larger iceberg and we're finally seeing the full picture. I suppose the local view of an organisation can do that. Denizen works well because he is flawed in some of the key ways Knights do their job,but it opens up the possibilities for different roles, reflective of a broader society. He was gifted what he can do, cursed too. I don't trust Greaves
