Jackie’s story and writing style use every opportunity to point to Christ, so while this book has already covered many deep topics of abortion, rape, neglect, and homosexuality, there is a hope woven through even the hardest of sentences. I am listening to the audio book which is read by the author, so there is extra poignancy in her words.

“The gospel doesn’t just bring about forgiveness of sins and save us from hell. The gospel of Jesus Christ empowers us to live a whole new life today by the same Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead.”

I’ve been wanting to read this for years and to learn more about Jackie’s testimony.

So far, the book reads like poetry; unexpected, but welcomed! Enjoying it already.
