I’m not the biggest fan of Tim Drake, I’m of the opinion that he’s a replacement I didn’t ask for and I’m still holding that grudge from Batman the Animated Series in the 90s when they changed animation styles (for the worse!) and switched from Dick to Tim (poor Jason never even acknowledged), but I feel like I’d have heard about him being dead. Probably it’s some time travel thing like Batman…

This version of Nightwing never went to Bludhaven??? These reboot things are so confusing. I did think I saw some screen shots of him fighting Blockbuster and his identity being revealed like it was a new thing, plus the dating Batgirl stuff… sometimes I like rehashing stuff, other times I want it to stay the way it was, we’ll see where this series lands, the writing has grown on me some…

I do not love this artist’s choice to make pale irises in the mask, just leave them blank or have them be normal eyes…

I always think it’s a bit ridiculous when comics destroy cities, in this case with genetically modified monsters made from corpses. You can’t go around knocking down multiple skyscrapers and then go back to normal. It took forever to rebuild after 9/11 and that was just one area. And how many times do they just blow up a city entirely…?

I have such mixed feelings on crossovers in general, feel like unnecessary events a lot of the time, but when they’re not collected together and you’re just getting one series’s contribution to a crossover it’s a real bother.

Blah, despite the volume 1 and the rebirth in the title, it’s clear to me that I am stepping into a story already in progress. When did Damian get a bomb implanted and Nightwing agree to help the Owls? I need the book before this I guess…

This art leaves something to be desired at times, but it’s not horrible…
