Status Updates From The Bone Houses

I just realized how bad my reading slump is that i can't even finish this ughhh
Their romance feels a little forced tho ngl

“She knew what it was to cling on, to grasp this small fragments of memory and try to live in them. Even if it meant not living at all.”

“Pain doesn’t make a person weak or strong,” she said. “Pain just-is. It’s not a purifier, it’s part of living.”

I'm struggling...I'm really uninterested despite this book having everything I'd normally like. I'm not sure if the blame is on me since I'm on a reading slump or on the book itself.

While the writing is amazing, very detailed but at the same time not dense, the main characters are both charming and interesting, im finding myself struggling to feel connection. I still cannot find the main objective of this story. Still, I like the female main character very much.
