I bought this book to turn it into Sunday school lessons, but it was a much more painstaking process than usual. Florence’s easy tone belies what is still a thoroughly academic book. This is a text for a seminary preaching class, and that’s really it. Even then, Florence couldn’t decide on a central theme (rehearsing, or diagramming sentences?), and the result is a less polished book than what it should be.
