Status Updates From Regret Me Not

Just finished this and then read the free ficlets on the author's blog that promised to become a whole book but apparently hasn't. I adored both of these characters. Full review soon.

This book is so flipping boring.

*HA* [Awaiting results...]

“Sure,” he said. “Handsies. ’Cause we’re fourteen-year-olds grabbing each other in the locker room. Handsies.”

*heh* [A wee bit closer...]

“If you, I don’t know, wanted to roll a little closer to the center of the bed tonight, I wouldn’t grab your ass or anything.”

Pierce smiled. “I never thought you would.”

*SNORT* [Mind ya' bizness...]

"Perfectly awful, if you ask me.”

Ugh. “I didn’t, you snotty bitch,” Pierce snapped.

“You’re beautiful,”Pierce said, embarrassed. “You…I was so embarrassed, that first day, because you were so pretty—so beautiful, and you were talking to me, and I was at my worst in my entire life. I couldn’t even see your eyes then. And your eyes are beautiful. And your mouth is beautiful. I don’t know how you could have been anything but beautiful in high school. I…I just don’t understand.”

Pierce dreamed about a sunny day and Hal, dressed in a white linen shirt and dark cotton trousers, offering him a flower and a kiss, in an almost perfect world.
